Founder and CEO of Youths Int’l Inc, a non-for-profit
incorporated in 2007 with the modicum of responsibility to help
empower our youth by improving their self-esteem and encouraging
them to stay in school and work to graduate.
He is the recipient of the many awards including U&I
Award presented to him by Actor Danny Glover on behalf of the
Caricorn Organization, “Star of the Queens” by the Queens Courier
newspaper in 2008; Youth Service Award from You Can Go To College
Committee inc and Community Advocate Award by the Corona Lion’s
Club. In the words of John Ploughman “Whomsoever the cap fits, let
him wear it”. No surprise Mr. Onuorah is recipient of three
Congressional Proclamations and Awards, City Council Certificate
from NY City Council and NYS senate certificate for his work in his
community and the youth.
Mr. Onuorah is a graduate of Political Science from
York College of the City University New York in 1986 served as an
appointed Liaison Officer for two-term Councilmember Helen Sears in
the 25th NYC Council district. He has served 5 years as
her appointee of CM Sears on the Neighborhood Advisory Board NAB
Queens 4. Other recognition include a Certificate signed by NYS
Governor George Pataki acknowledging his extending himself providing
counseling after 911 to those who required mental health counseling
through Project Liberty.
